This prospect contains three blocks which are located in the Bakersfield Arch area in Kern County, California near the prolific oil fields of Strand, Canfield Ranch and Ten Section. This prospect covers approximately 3,080 acres.
The main objective is the turbiditic Stevens sands of the Monterey Formation (Upper Miocene). The underlying Fruitvale sands are the secondary objective.
The operator is Compass Global Resources.
The proposed mean depth of the three initial test wells is approximately 10,500 feet (3,200 m).
